Family Therapy

The stresses of everyday life can put strain on family relationships and as families go through the various life cycles, communications can become difficult leading to misunderstandings and conflict. Seeing a Systemic Family psychotherapist enables family members to have a safe place to express their thoughts and feelings and to be heard.

I not only provide a space which is respectful and non-judgmental for multi-generational families to have a voice, but I also give practical help and advice to improve strenuous situations.

Having a baby brings great joy but it can sometimes be accompanied with post-natal depression which then impacts upon the mother-baby bond. I have a great deal of experience in helping mothers through the depression and in helping them re-connect with their baby. I am recommended by the Whittington Hospital Mother & Baby unit.

Adolescence is also a time of big change in family dynamics and can often be a challenging time. Parents often need support in managing the transitions in adolescence and the fact that their child is becoming more autonomous.

Some of the issues I help families with are:

  • Gender identity
  • Domestic violence
  • Attachment
  • Adolescents
  • Bullying
  • Depression
  • Communication Difficulties
  • Relationship Issues
  • Self-esteem
  • Couple relationships
  • Parenting issues
  • Child related issues
